Feeling Good

Hi, folks. Welcome to my blog! This will be the first of many posts that are designed to make you feel good. Feeling good is so important in everyone's lives. Feeling good is the basis of what happens to you. Feeling good is the foundation of the things you attract and create. Feel good, and you attract good. It's as simple as that, really. So let's take a closer look at how to find that place where you're always feeling good.

How To Feel Good About Yourself

For some, it takes many years to learn how to feel good about yourself. I know that was true for me. I had to boost my confidence by building a collection of things that made me feel good. I had to learn Who I Really Am. And to do that, I had to go inside myself. Inside yourself is where you'll find all the answers to your deep questions - and all your questions, for that matter. I love what my favorite author, Neale Donald Walsch says, "If you don't go within, you go without." So sit quietly, and listen. The answer is always there. Just like your feeling good is always there. It's your Natural State. The only thing that can change that is letting in all the negatives that are thrown at you throughout your day.

If you want to learn how to feel good about yourself, then it's paramount to stand guard at the door of thought, and let only the positives in. When your mind is full of positives, you'll feel good. And if there's something bothersome that's keeping you from feeling good about yourself, then know this: the past is the past, and the past is done! Don't let anything that happened in the past influence your thought about the present. The only moment that really exists is this moment - right here, right now. And if you feel good in this moment, then that's all that really matters, isn't it? Just keep putting together - keep connecting - those single moments of feeling good, and you'll find that you'll start attracting more good into your life.

How To Feel Good

Everyone's always trying to find out how to feel good. Sometimes, it's not easy because it seems that we often get bombarded with challenges every day. But, again, guard your thoughts; be aware of your thoughts. And don't let in any that are negative in any way!

There are many ways to feel good. There are feel good books. There are feel good movies. There are feel good songs. And speaking of feel good songs, feel good music is one of the most powerful therapeutic tools you can use to elevate the level of your feelings to a place of joy and happiness. There's something about music, especially a particular song or tune that's connected to a feel good experience you've had in your life. Use that tool to its fullest advantage. Remember back to a time when you felt good about something - about anything.

Find one of those times when there was feel good music attached to your good feelings. Now lose yourself in that music. Experience it like the first time. Dance with it. Sing with it. Laugh with it. Feel good with it. Use that power of feeling good songs and you'll raise your level of energy and all the goodness that comes with that.

Here's one of my favorite pick-me-up songs. It's a great way to start any day...

Isn't that uplifting? That never fails to get me up and on my way. There are many feel good movies, too. My favorite feel good movie is "Sound of Music". And I sheepishly admit that even the tears shed are feel good tears. So that's the kind of thing you're looking for when you want to find out how to feel good.

Feeling Better
So now you've found a way to feel good, let's move on to the next step - feeling better. I'm always on the lookout for ways to make me feel better. That's kind of my nature - always looking for a better way. And feeling good is no exception to that constant search for progress. In her book  Ask and It Is Given: Learning to Manifest Your Desires, Esther Hicks continually refers to your "emotional guidance system". She suggests that, if you're not feeling good, then find something to make you feel better, even if it's only a little bit better. Now, when you've taken that first step, say from being angry to just being upset, then you're ready to take the next step - to feeling okay. Accept what comes your way and take all the judgment out of it, and you'll find that you'll feel even better about it. And every step of feeling better will bring you closer to your Natural State of Joy and Happiness. And isn't that where we all want to be - feeling better?
